Recently, the pair of Tsitsipas and Lopez lost in the round of 16 against the pair of Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram. However, in the previous match against Andrey Golubev and Alexander Bublik, Tsitsipas witnessed a funny thing while sitting on the bench. During a changeover, Tsitsipas suddenly looked all confused as he could not find his towel. It was the Spaniard who actually took it and kept it on his lap.

Truly, the condition was really hot, and the players were sweating a lot. Understandably, Tsitsipas was in need of his towel. However, Lopez probably didn’t realize it was not his towel, as he took it when Tsitsipas was not there. However, later, the Greek player did take his towel back from the Spaniard, as they smiled at one another.

The Greek player is having a bittersweet year in terms of competing on the tennis court. Earlier, he reached the semi-final of the Australian Open. Then he reached the final at Rotterdam. At the Mexican Open, he won the doubles event with Lopez. However, his time in the USA didn’t go as planned, as the hard-court tennis is pausing momentarily.

After the Indian Wells and Miami, his focus will surely be on the French Open. Last year, he reached the final at Roland Garros and almost beat Novak Djokovic to clinch his maiden Grand Slam title. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen. This year, it will be a great opportunity again for the Greek player, as he will soon start his campaign on the red soil.
