The former world number 3, Stefanos Tsitsipas was introduced to the sport at the age of 3 and he started taking lessons at the age of 6. He is currently the highest-ranked male Greek player in the history of the sport. Tsitsipas won the Next Gen ATP Finals in 2018 and then a year later clinched the Nitto ATP Finals. He has won a total of 10 titles in his career, but what’s the most special title for his father cum coach, Apostolos Tsitsipas?
Last year Stefanos and Petros Tsitsipas won their maiden ATP Tour doubles title together in Antwerp. That was quite an emotional moment for the Tsitsipas family, and here’s how their father reacted while recalling that moment. He said, “It’s one of the most special moments. As Stefanos said, maybe it was the most special title of his life. It was a dream. It came true. They won a professional event together and I’m sure that now they’re dreaming more things.”
