While taking about the match, Nadal was supposed to answer a question in Spanish. However, he completely forgot that and answered the whole thing in English. Later, he apologized to the interviewer and decided to answer the question in his mother tongue.

“Like that, playing against one of the best players of the world, doesn’t matter if he’s young or not. He’s a great guy, an amazing player and he has a fantastic future… Just tried to go on court, try my best, and accept all the challenges and I’m through and happy… a very important victory for me… It wasn’t in Spanish (laughs),” Nadal said.

Incidentally, this was not the first time the Spaniard made a similar mistake. Once, in Argentina, both Nadal and Djokovic attended a pre-match press conference. During the media interaction, Novak spoke in English and instead of translating it into Spanish, Nadal repeated Novak’s words in English. Realizing his mistake, the 21-time major winner started laughing along with fellow players and the press.
