The 2-time singles Grand Slam champion, who previously called these changes “ridiculous” and a “shame”, has expressed his resentment over the news that the Davis Cup organizers are reluctant, as reported by UK Sport News.

Apart from Hewitt, other tennis legends have also expressed their disapproval over the same, including Roger Federer and Todd Woodbridge. The 20-time Grand Slam champion previously said that he is saddened as the controversial format will affect the next generation of tennis players. Federer stated, “I’m saddened not to have the Davis Cup the way it used to be. It will never be the same again for the next generation.”
