Rafael Nadal is living the last days of his professional tennis career. In contrast, his toddler son is attracting more attention than this Spanish tennis legend. From his adorable Brisbane moments with daddy to little Rafa’s cheer for her father at Madrid, this cute bundle of joy has become a prominent headline figure. Now, he is spotted again in a cuter role during the 22-time Grand Slam winner’s next venture in Rome.
A reliable tennis source recently shared a clip on their X (formerly Twitter) platform where fans spotted baby Rafa picking up a ball that had been shot and sent outside the court by his legendary father. However, this is not baby Rafa’s debut moment of stealing hearts. When this famous toddler cheered for his father on the legend’s debut Madrid Open victory this year, former WTA star Monica Puig commented, “One of the pictures we saw where his son was smiling watching him on court. My heart melted to the floor. That was the cutest thing I have ever seen.”
Despite so much fame, Nadal never spoke openly about his personal life. So, being true to this ethic, this Grand Slam winner didn’t reveal the date of his toddler’s birth. He just shared the good news with his fans, letting them know that this happiness arrived in their lives a few days before his third anniversary with Mery Perello. Irrespective of his low-profile personal life, Nadal’s fans can understand his love for his son from his heartwarming confessions in interviews.

Baby Rafa’s moments with his father might offer true father-son goals for the fans. However, the Spanish tennis legend revealed many surprising facts about this experience. During a press conference with E! News, Nadal revealed that fatherhood is surprising because people experience completely new things after having a child. In his words, “Everything surprises you because everything is new, Especially the first kid you have, everything is 100 percent new for my wife and for me. So you learn everyday, and every day is unexpected, I can say nothing negative, I am lucky that for the moment the baby is doing very well. We are happy.”
However, one of his statements truly surprised everyone. This Spaniard ATP star said– “I always thought that all this would come when I retired.” He might not have anticipated it earlier but life surely has beautiful plans for this tennis legend. Given that Nadal says, “I have always been a kids guy,” he surely tries his best to portray an ideal support figure for his son. Nevertheless, fans keep faith in his generosity and brilliance as he tries “to learn to live with this new life stage and try to continue being as competitive as possible.”
