Carlos Alcaraz has gone against Sinner a total of 7 times. The semi-final round at the China Open put Jannik ahead of Alcaraz.
The pair were tied at 3-3 going into yesterday’s match. However, the updated score is 4-3, and Jannik is leading this run. Post-match, Sinner opened up about how he feels competing with the Spaniard.

Falling at the seventh spot in the world ranking, Sinner continues to give his best. With sets like 7-6(4) and 6-1, he undoubtedly dominated the match against Carlos Alcaraz. Jannik easily secured himself a spot in the finals. He will be facing the Russian powerhouse, Daniil Medvedev. Sinner, after his excellent performance said this:
“I know I’ve beaten him before, but I don’t notice how many times I’ve defeated him or how many times I’ve lost against him. What I can say is that every time we face each other there is a great match, it is a very good match.”
“We tried to push ourselves to the limit, and I think we got it again today, the level was very high,” added the Italian tennis star.
Jannik is taking a humble approach, nonchalantly stating that he doesn’t keep score. Sinner seems more happy about the fact that he got a chance to push himself. He flowed to the finals rather easily. Yet, Jannik Sinner must be worrying about his next match.
Medvedev became the runner-up for the US Open against Novak Djokovic. It is obvious that he will fight tooth and nail to win the tour this time around.

The 22-year-old seems ecstatic for his performance in the semi-final round. He stated his satisfaction with the level he attained.
Before ending his statement, Sinner put forth his thoughts about his next match. He’s filled with confidence post his win and plans on taking advantage of that. While facing Medvedev, he will be adjusting his game strategy a bit. Since Daniil is altogether a different breed than Carlos on the court.
