John McEnroe, as a commentator, is currently covering the match between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Zizou Bergs. Since Bergs is currently ranked at 120, McEnroe is unable to fill his gaps in knowledge, along with the pronunciation of his name. After seeing him that way, fans are pretty much blaming him for not doing enough research about the match.

Fans lambast John McEnroe for being unaware of lower-ranked players

Tsitsipas is ranked 7, which means much of the world is tuning in to his bout. As it is being covered by McEnroe, many fans are irked with his statements. Thai-Son Kwiatkowski ranked 316 and took to ‘X’ to share his disappointment with the Superbrat.

He wrote, “Insane to me that time and time again J. McEnroe goes on air and just admits he has zero clue who a player is. (Today, bergs, 120 atp) just says to the world, hey guys, I’ve done zero research for my job and I’m just going to disrespect someone who’s top 150 in the world at a job”. Noticing his comments, fans shared their own frustrations with the American legend.
