Anything you can do, I can do better. That’s the clear and loud message from a little Serbian girl to the world number one in tennis, Novak Djokovic . He has now been a dominating figure on the court for some time. Djokovic’s agility, unwavering tenacity and resilience on the court is his pride. Losing a point to an amateur means a sting to the pride of number one. How did he react to that?

A month ago Djokovic, broke down in tears after seeing the reception he got in his hometown in Belgrade. His win over Daniil Medvedev at the US Open ensured his 24th Grand Slam title in his career and surely there are many more to come. Little did the 7-year-old Nole know that he would get much more than he had ever wished for. His wish to win Wimbledon might have risen from a similar situation while seeing his tennis idol on the court. Who knows this little girl, might also turn out as the next star from Belgrade. Recently, a video went viral on Twitter where the world number one was caught in a beautiful moment while playing tennis with a little girl in Belgrade. Djokovic is now in his hometown, doing his training at Tipsarevic Tennis Academy as he looks forward to clinching his 25th Grand Slam title in the Australian Open . This academy was founded by former Serbian professional tennis player Janko Tipsarevic in May 2013. This is one of the best academies in Serbia which provides world-class facilities with two clay courts and one hard court similar to the US Open surface. 

The legend of Serbia was caught up in a light moment as he was playing with a little girl on the hard court. Even though the number one, took it as a light moment but the girl thought otherwise. She looked to throw down the gauntlet to her national hero. Oh boy! and she nailed it. While everyone was looking for a beautiful rally on display.

She drew the number one to the net and then looped it over her head to clinch a point. A point she’ll surely remember throughout her life. The shot impressed him, as he appreciated the young girl with a slow clap. But does Novak Djokovic have a soft corner for kids on the court?

The Serbinator has dismantled many youngsters in the past and he has a clear message for them. To be the best you’ve to beat the best.

Ben Shelton even got a taste of his own medicine when Novak Djokovic mimicked his ‘Phone Call’ celebration after defeating him in the US Open semi. Surely, Djokovic doesn’t leave any stone unturned when he comes to winning in bigger stages. For a mentality like Djoker’s, it’s very hard to lose even a point.
