In an exciting semi-final clash at the Cincinnati Masters 2021, World No.7 Andrey Rublev defeated the top seed Daniil Medvedev in three sets. Rublev made a phenomenal comeback against his compatriot and beat him, despite losing the first set. The final scoreline of the match was 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Interestingly, this is the first time when Andrey Rublev has defeated Daniil Medvedev in a singles match. With this victory, he has now advanced to his second Masters 1000 finale.

In the post-match interview, Rublev seemed completely speechless. However, he made a really sarcastic comment when he was asked about his feeling of defeating Medvedev for the very first time in his professional career.
