Over the last few weeks, the tennis world has been divided over Novak Djokovic‘s hamstring injury claims. The Australian Open tournament director, Craig Tiley, who showered praise on the 10-time Australian Open champion for winning the title with a 3cm tear in his hamstring, is now being criticized for his claims. Now, a well-known Australian sports doctor also thinks that Tiley’s claims as unreasonable.
Novak Djokovic has shocked the tennis world by winning the Australian Open title while having a 3 cm tear in his hamstring. But the debate of whether the Serbian tennis player was actually suffering from a tear or just a minor injury is still going on in the tennis world.

A leading sports physician disagrees with Tiley’s statement regarding Novak Djokovic’s injury
Tiley’s statement will surely strike a chord with Djokovic fans. However, several well-known medical professionals and former tennis players have criticized the Australian Open for their interpretation of the condition.

Renowned sports and exercise physician, Dr. Peter Larkins, in an interview with SEN.com.au shared his perspective on the injury. He said, “It’s virtually unheard of… but I guess it’s possible. I wonder if Craig Tiley if misinterpreting what he was told… I’m struggling to believe that it was a tear. It may have been an area of inflammation that was three centimetres.”

Along with Dr. Larkins, many have voiced their doubts regarding the injury claims of the ‘Djoker’. Earlier this week, an Italian tennis legend called the hamstring injury a ‘fake’ act.

Earlier, Adriano Panatta, a former Italian tennis player, questioned Djokovic’s injury a few days prior and chastised him for crying over a fake injury.
