There is some quite disappointing news coming for Rafael Nadal fans. The Spaniard recently announced that he will not be playing the US Open 2021. Surprisingly, he will no longer be playing any match during the remainder of the season as he has decided to end his season with immediate effect.
In a recent tweet, Rafael Nadal announced that he will have to end his 2021 tennis season straight away. He mentioned that he has been suffering from a left foot injury for quite some time now and is in no position to play at the US Open 2021.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion injured his left foot during the French Open 2021. Even though he returned at the Citi Open 2021, he still had issues with his foot and later withdrew from the National Bank Open and the Cincinnati Masters 2021 as he was not able to recover in time.
