Notably, two Oscar-winning filmmakers are also willing to cover all aspects of Becker’s journey, including his legal issues, in a documentary movie.
Apple TV+ to make a documentary based on the journey of Boris Becker
Some of the renowned streaming platforms like Netflix and Prime Video have already found success by producing some great sports documentary movies. Notably, Apple TV+ is also willing to cover the journey of some of the top athletes. As a result, Apple TV+ is reportedly going to interview the German tennis legend Boris Becker for a documentary.
The Oscar-winning filmmakers, Alex Gibney and John Battsek, will try to explore all the aspects of the former world’s No. 1 tennis player’s journey. They will try to cover the entirety of Becker’s journey, from his Wimbledon victory at the age of 17 to his eventual imprisonment. The documentary that will depict Becker’s journey is yet to be titled by the popular streaming platform.

The documentary film will feature various personal interviews with the former German tennis player. It will also include an exclusive conversation with Becker during the week of his sentencing to prison for concealing assets. They will also feature other exclusive interviews of Becker’s immediate family members. Additionally, conversations with some of the tennis greats like Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe, and Novak Djokovic will also be included.
Novak Djokovic previously expressed his opinion on Becker’s imprisonment
The former German tennis player has faced a lot of backlash and criticism from many fans because of his fraud case. However, Novak Djokovic previously revealed that he was “heartbroken” when he heard about Becker’s legal troubles.

Becker has played a crucial role in the 21-time singles Grand Slam champion’s stellar tennis journey. As a result, Djokovic was extremely disappointed when he found out about his former coach’s imprisonment. The Serbian tennis star also stated that he has been a close friend in addition to being a fantastic coach.
