Jannik Sinner talks about family after winning against Novak Djokovic

Sinner shut down any signs of a comeback shown by Djokovic in the third set. Notably, after 2196 days, a player has beaten the Djoker in the Australian Open. Courier asked him, “Is your family here, or are they back home?” Sinner, while chuckling, said, “They’re home, and they will stay home.” Sensing that Sinner will be in trouble with his family now, Courier said, “Would you like to save yourself and say something nice to them before we leave the court?

The Italian player chose to be hilarious once again as he said, “It’s 8:15 in Europe. So good morning guys.” While Sinner’s reply may seem rude to some, in reality, he is someone who always has his family in his mind. The 22-year-old Italian young gun talked about his ailing father not long back and also shared his thoughts about helping him.

During the Supertennis Awards in 2023, Jannik Sinner talked about his father, Johan Sinner, who is also his team member. Jannik commented-“Since I left home I haven’t had much time with my parents. My father has been working for over 40 years, but in the last two years he was a bit down. I wanted to get him out of that situation, so that he could find himself and show him how I live.”

The Italian star realizes that his dad has worked hard for a long time and the two have not spent much time together. As their financial worries are gone, he keeps his father close to him on tour. Will Sinner go on to win his first Grand Slam title Down Under and make his father super proud?
