In a recent podcast, Wilander spoke about how Sinner’s aggressive attitude on the court makes him different than most of the other tennis players. Wilander also drew Sinner’s similarity with Serbian Star Djokovic following the latter’s tendency to hit the ball hard.

Matrs Wilander said-“The difference between him (Jannik Sinner) and a lot of other guys that dictate he moves, he flies around the court. So he plays very, very aggressive defense, just like Novak Djokovic, pretty much probably hits the ball harder when he’s open stance than Djokovic, so he is shown in the last couple of years that he’s definitely going to be a Grand Slam champion, I think. But honestly, after the last three weeks, I think it’s more than that.”

However, Wilander went beyond that and expressed that Sinner improvised his skills quite surprisingly after his ATP 2023 tournament performance. Wilander recalled how Jannik Sinner showed his skill to the world by coming back with the Davis Cup 2023 victory after losing the ATP Finals trophy to Djokovic.
