With an amazing season that included grabbing four tour-level titles, securing his first ATP Masters 1000 crown in Toronto, and reaching the finals at the Nitto ATP Finals, the young Italian surely deserved to be the fans’ choice.

The award was held by none other than the Swiss tennis maestro Roger Federer for 19 years straight, being passed on to Rafael Nadal in 2022. As Sinner bagged the title this year, he fitted the footsteps of tennis legends that the world admires.

The title no doubt came to the deserving name as Sinner became the nation’s favorite by pushing Italy to its first Davis Cup triumph since 1976 and becoming the first-ever Italian to finish in the top 5. Jannik Sinner’s reward collection of 2023 didn’t just end with being elected for the fans’ favorite award. Along with that, the young star also found two of his exhibitions in the list of top 5 matches this year ranked by ATP. Sinner, who presented a defeat to none other than the tennis legend Novak Djokovic in the group stage of the Nitto ATP Finals, got a chance to stand against him once again in the title match.

Although the young star faced a defeat against the Serbinator, his performance came out to be quite competitive, listing the match as number two on the list. Besides that, Sinner’s intense rematch against the young Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz at the Miami Masters also became a point of interest for the fans, which was further recognized by the ATP, ending with a perfect ranking of number third on the list.
