Sinner dropped a heartwarming thanks to those people who helped him receive the ATP’s exclusive recognition for the second consecutive year. This Italian star bagged two major titles this year showing his excellence in the sport. He also ended the season as ATP number one. During the season’s end, he received another heartfelt acknowledgement from his supporters and became the most beloved athlete in the ATP. Although this award is symbolic, it surely must have come as a motivation to the player – highlighting the love people are showering for him. Likewise, this award also helps to understand how Sinner is still a loved player despite his failure at the doping trial twice in March.

But at the same time, Sinner received a huge backlash from Djokovic’s supporters. Novak Djokovic’s die-hard fan sarcastically attacked Jannik Sinner for winning the ATP’s fan-favorite award

The Serb’s renowned fan Pavvy G took a dig at the result and questioned ATP’s integrity with a quirky dig. Novak Djokovic has more followers on @X than ALL the active @atptour players have combined together,” tweeted Serb’s fan. His words echoed his disbelief at the fact that the 37-year-old legend couldn’t receive the recognition despite having a worldwide fanbase.

In this matter, former pro-Marion Bartoli said, “You are not used to having a third one. The third one feels like the disruptor. You want to cheer for one or the other. You say ‘I was to cheer for Roger’ or ‘I want to cheer for Rafa’. You don’t want the third one that comes in and wins everything.” He highlighted how Rafa and Federer’s rivalry didn’t offer much scope for Djokovic’s positive popularity.
