Now as Nadal is away to recuperate from injury, Djokovic has found himself lacking the opposition. However, Carlos Alcaraz gives tough competition to the Djoker as he reminds him of Rafa.
While Djokovic lauded Alcaraz as his spirit reminded him of Rafa, the young player does not like being compared to Nadal. The young Spaniard explicitly stated it after his win in the Barcelona Open. Regardless, his fighting spirit is a big reminder for Djokovic.

The final of the Western & Southern Open was a rather exciting match. When it began, it seemed as if fans would witness a repeat of the Wimbledon final. After a tough set, Alcaraz stood at the top. He seemed to be on track to winning the second set as well, but a weak serve during 4-3 gave the Djoker a chance to return.
The second set would go to a tiebreaker which turned in favor of Djokovic. Revitalized after his win, he appeared on a smooth path to victory. But his opponent was not ready to relent. Alcaraz found his second wind and fought back to take the third set into a tiebreaker as well. But Djokovic eventually emerged victorious and fell down after a hard-fought match.
