The 18-year-old, John McEnroe caught the attention of the tennis world in 1977. He turned to a professional player a year later and then he went on to win 7 Grand Slam titles. Then 10 years later in 1988, his brother Patrick McEnroe followed in his footsteps to become a pro tennis player. Both of them are quite active on their social media handles and recently the youngest McEnroe was caught up with a classy response to an ugly troll.

The 57-year-old former captain of the US Davis Cup team had a very respectable career. He had reached the semifinals of the Australian Open in 1991. His 10-year career span includes 1 singles title and 16 doubles titles. Then after retirement, he went on to become a prominent broadcaster. His class reflects on whatever he does be it with the racket, mic, or even his social media posts.

McEnroe has an additional responsibility now

Despite having a wonderful stint as a broadcaster, Patrick McEnroe always wanted to contribute to the game. The game which gave him so much to cherish in life. He wanted to work with the next generation of tennis players and help them build a career in this beautiful sport. McEnroe managed to do it at all levels and now he’s onto a different challenge that demands more responsibilities.

On May 1 this year, Patrick McEnroe began his new tenure as the President of the International Tennis Hall of Fame (ITHOF).
