Recently, coach Patrick Mouratoglou came under fire as he disregarded Federer’s forehand.

The Swiss tennis maestro left a lasting mark on the hearts of his fans. While the French tennis coach dropped a negative comment on his forehand technique, fans came forward in big numbers to defend their favorite tennis star.

While the renowned coach was earlier caught in a controversy regarding the Simona Halep case, this time, it is the Roger Federer fans who have him by the throat. The famous coach shared a list with a detailed analysis of players’ forehands. While he insulted Federer’s skill, saying, “It might sound weird but Federer’s forehand is not even in the two best of all time, in my opinion,” the fans rained their wrath on him.

One commented how it might not be a logical comment, “I think this guy just yaps to get more attention lol. Federer is definitely top 2,” pressing the fact that Mouratoglou might just be an attention-seeker.

Another fan, backfiring the insult towards the coach, wrote, “How many slams did Mr. Mouratoglou win?” as he targeted Mouratoglou’s career as a player.

While the French coach denied admitting the prowess of Roger Federer’s forehand, a fan wrote, “Anyone who knows anything about tennis knows that patrick doesn’t have a clue about tennis technique. I am not a fed fan but his FH is a cut above any player I have ever watched,” presenting a completely dissimilar verdict.

First position goes to Rafael Nadal, per Mouratoglou

Besides denying a top spot for Roger Federer, Patrick Mouratoglou placed Rafael Nadal in the first position. According to him, the Spaniard has the best forehand of all time, with Fernando Gonzalez holding the second position.

He detailed his approach, saying, “Rafael Nadal’s forehand is undoubtedly one of the most iconic shots in tennis history.” Although the coach regarded the Spaniard’s skill as the best, the fact that he disregarded the Swiss tennis maestro’s legacy resulted in the drastic fan outburst that he recently faced.
