How did the match between Nick Kyrgios and Daniil Medvedev pan out?
Kyrgios was dominant right from the word go against his higher-ranked opponent. The first set was a keenly fought contest, going into the tiebreaker. However, Kyrgios won some crucial points to take the opening set 7-6(11).
Further, Medvedev showed glimpses of a comeback as he leveled the match by winning the second set 6-3. However, it was one-way traffic subsequently, with the Australian star claiming the next two sets 6-3 and 6-2 to enter the next round. In the quarterfinals, he will take on Karen Khachanov.
