The world is mourning the loss of an American-born Swiss musical icon who came to be widely known as the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner. The Swiss singer was born in Brownsville, Tennessee. However, she decided to settle down with her husband Erwin Bach, in her homeland, Switzerland. Interestingly, the musical legend became neighbors with none other than the tennis legend Roger Federer.

Federer has quite a few luxurious properties around the world. However, he only feels at home in Switzerland. The same was the case for Tina Turner as well.

Roger Federer has always adored his country, and despite having multiple properties around the world, Switzerland is where his heart belongs. Hence, in 2014, he moved to his beautiful Swiss abode with his family, which overlooks the scenic view of Lake Zurich.

In 2022, it was reported that Swiss musical legend Tina Turner bought a new property adjoining Lake Zurich with her husband, Erwin Bach. The couple, both of whom are Swedish, reportedly bought the property for $76 million. It boasts 10 buildings, a pond, a stream, a swimming pool, and a boat dock on Lake Zurich.

Just like Federer, they too felt at home in Switzerland. Interestingly, Federer has enjoyed some of her classics, like ‘Simply the Best.’ and has had a gala time with his friends at karaoke. Moreover, before switching to a different property, Roger Federer had also looked at Turner’s one before.

Unfortunately, less than two years after buying the property, the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll bid the world farewell at the age of 83. Following the tragic news, her fan, Venus Williams, made sure to pay a tribute to her while she was alive.

Venus Williams paid an ode to Tina Turner

Venus Williams has been a fashionista, both on and off the court. Hence, she customized her 2010 Wimbledon outfit to pay tribute to Tina Turner.

Later, she stated that Turner is a great artist and that her inspiration comes from her love for the musical legend. Her white on-court outfit made the Turner statement through an elaborate neckline and frills on her skirt.
