Seeded number 9, Ben is being coached by his father Bryan. During Ben’s match against Jaume Munar, Bryan was in the stands, continuously supporting and cheering for his son. But there was one thing that Bryan did not like and it was the music being played during the match. What he said was, “What kind of music they got going here? Trying to put us to sleep? I am still not over my jetlag yet.” Since Ben was winning points here and there, Bryan probably wanted upbeat music to play in the background.

Tougher tests await Shelton at the Shanghai Masters

After defeating Jaume, Ben also won the second round match as he emerged victorious against Roman Safiullin. For his third round, he will be up against the China Open winner Jannik Sinner.

This match can prove to be a tough one as Jannik just won the China Open and his fans have high expectations of him as well. If this match falls in Ben’s favor, he will surely have a good chance of lifting his first Masters title in Shanghai.
