“It’s a horrible look,” Nick Kyrgios said as he questioned the integrity of tennis amid the doping saga of Jannik Sinner. The Australian star has strongly questioned the handling of Sinner’s doping case, as he slammed the ITIA for letting off Sinner without any ban despite testing positive for a banned substance. For those unknown, Sinner escaped punishment after he provided a valid justification about how he came in contact with the banned substance, Clostebol. Earlier this week, Kyrgios sparked another controversy with a brutal dig at Sinner, which didn’t go down well with the fans.
Hours ago, Lleyton Hewitt’s son, Cruz shared a picture with Jannik Sinner on his Instagram handle. The two practiced together in Melbourne ahead of the Australian Open. However, Kyrgios took a harsh dig at Sinner, calling the picture, “Cooked post,” along with an injection emoji. As soon as Kyrgios posted the comment, it caught the eyes of the tennis world, who slammed the Australian star for his harsh take on Sinner.

Moreover, this isn’t the first time that Kyrgios has slammed Sinner after his doping controversy. During an interview, he once said, “When people are saying that I’m disrespectful to the sport, I think someone like that that has tried to cheat the process, and actually not done it completely on their own merit, is the disrespectful one in my opinion. I have to be outspoken about it because I don’t think there’s enough people that are speaking about it. I think people are trying to sweep it under the rug.” Nonetheless, fans were left disgusted after Kyrgios took a brutal dig at Sinner.

SCENES.” Moreover, there were also calls from a section of fans for Kyrgios to be banned for his inappropriate comments about Sinner. Meanwhile, it wasn’t the first time that Kyrgios took a brutal dig at Sinner. Ever since Sinner’s doping controversy came out, Kyrgios has been his biggest critic, often questioning why he escaped punishment. However, on this occasion, the nature of Kyrgios’ criticism was extremely harsh, with one fan writing, “Being a bully. That’s the explanation… a sentenced abuser, these things rarely happen once only.” Similarly, another Twitter user also felt that this was an extreme level of harassment. Having had it enough, the fan commented, “This is harassment?!?!! Good grief.”
While Kyrgios has made a comeback to tennis, there is a possibility that the two could square off at the Australian Open. It remains to be seen if Kyrgios will change his stance on Sinner, given the growing criticism from the tennis community for his views on this matter.
