Nick Kyrgios gets real about his ‘rattling’ strategy on the court
In the third round of the 2022 Wimbledon Championship, the Australian was up against the fourth-seeded Greek player. Nick Kyrgios, who dropped the first set in a thrilling encounter, later turned the match in his favor as he managed to outperform Stefanos Tsitsipas, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6.
Even though it happened in the previous season, Kyrgios has still not forgotten his thrilling four-set victory, according to his recent revelations in a podcast show. Reminiscing about his grass-court encounter, the Aussie said, “I mean, look at that Tsitsipas match where, you know, I was in his head.”
Meanwhile, the ‘bad boy of tennis’ also candidly spoke about his ‘rattling the opponent’ strategy on the court. He added, “You know, I was living in there rent-free, and yeah, when I can say that I’m really starting to rattle my opponent mentally, that’s a nice place.”
Though he managed to ‘rattle’ Tsitsipas, Kyrgios opened up about how he was unable to replicate his notorious approach against Novak Djokovic.
