Andy Murray is undergoing a dark phase in his career. Even after continuous efforts, the former World No. 1 has been failing to get back to his peak and deliver like the vintage days. He recently played at the Indian Wells, losing in the second round to Alexander Bublik. Even though he has been lagging in his performance on-court, his social media performance remains on point.

Best friends and fellow Britishers Murray and Liam Broady are often seen taking light-hearted digs at each other through their social media handles. The two played together in the men’s doubles category at the ATP Masters 1000 Rome last year. However, after losing in the second round, the two, for the time being, have restricted themselves to trolling each other on social media. A similar scenario happened today.

Today, 21st March, Andy Murray took to his Instagram uploading a story that featured World No. 118, Liam Broady. In the story, Broady and Murray were on a Facetime call. However, what acted as the striking element was Broady’s face. During the call, Murray’s camera was directed towards the ceiling, while Broady seemed in a tense state. Taking advantage of the scenario, Murray took no time in grabbing a screenshot of Broady. Taking the screenshot, he uploaded it on his Instagram story.

He captioned the story“Liam Broady talking to the ceiling on Facetime. Look how sad he looks that he isn’t getting any attention from me.”

This is only one of the many digs the two take at each other. 3 days ago, Broady did a similar activity on his Twitter handle. He took a screenshot of Murray eating grapes and uploaded it on his Twitter. He captioned the Tweet“What type of psychopath eats grapes like this?”

Coming to the tennis front, the two last played at the ATP Masters 1000 Indian Wells. Broady entered the tournament as a qualifier, facing a first-round exit to Miomir Kecmanovic. On the other hand, Murray entered the Indian Wells as a Wildcard. He kicked off his tournament campaign with a first-round win over Japanese qualifier Taro Daniel. However, not going for long, he was defeated in the second round by Alexander Bublik.

The next in calendar for both players is the ATP Masters 1000 Miami. While the main draw is yet to be released, Liam Broady is set to take on Christopher Eubanks in the opening round of the qualifying draw.
