Rafael Nadal was recently blessed with a child. He expressed his gratitude for all the supportive messages. He felt grateful for the good wishes he has received on the birth of his son. In an exclusive interview, the doting father shared his gratitude for being able to attend video calls with his son.


Rafael Nadal and his wife Maria Perello, have recently welcomed their first baby together. The star player has always prioritised his family over his exemplary tennis career. During the interview, he discussed his feelings about competing on the tour for the first time as a father during a recent interview.

During the interview, the star player was very emotional regarding his son. He repeatedly informed the media that he was finding it difficult to play matches this year. After being out of competition for nearly two months, Nadal will be back in action at the Paris Masters. This match marks the  Spaniard’s first event as a father since the US Open. The 22-time Grand Slam champion was witnessed receiving advice from his uncle Toni about the challenges of playing as a father.

In the interview, he was quoted as,” It has always been difficult to leave home, to be honest. Now it’s different again.” It’s been a difficult experience for Nadal to miss his son.

The player also added, “you have to adapt it. But we are lucky to make video calls any time we want.” Nadal is pleased to be injury-free and back on the court at the final ATP Masters 1000 event.
