Notably, none of the next-generation players have unlocked this feat, except the Austrian, Dominic Thiem. However, this achievement is indeed only a stepping stone for Zverev. That is, he will be already looking forward to winning his next match and next title on the men’s circuit.

Inarguably, 2021 has been one of the best seasons of Alexander Zverev‘s career. This year, he has won two Masters 1000 titles, defeated Rafael Nadal on clay, and won the Olympics gold medal. Not to forget, the 24-year-old also denied World No.1 Novak Djokovic, the Golden Slam in Tokyo.

At present, Zverev is in Austria, competing for the Vienna Open 2021 title. So far, he has defeated Filip Krajinovic and Alex De Minaur in straight sets there. He reached a new milestone with his latest win and is very happy about it.

“I started on the Tour when I was 16 years old, and now, being 24, I’m still quite young, so I’m quite happy to have this achievement at an early stage in my career. Hopefully, there are a lot more coming. This is definitely a massive milestone for me,” Zverev told ATPTour.com.

Furthermore, his girlfriend and German model Sophia Thomalla wrote, “Meanwhile in Vienna. Machine,” with a picture of Zverev on her Instagram story. Unquestionably, they both will be looking forward to attaining more such milestones.

Courtesy of his spectacular 2021 season, Zverev has already qualified for the year-ending ATP Finals in Turin. However, his quarterfinals opponent in Vienna, Felix Auger-Aliassime, is still aiming to book a spot in the Top 8.

Hence, both of them would be eager to get this win to their name. Interestingly, Zverev has a 3-1 advantage over Auger-Aliassime but lost his last match to the young Canadian in Wimbledon‘s fourth round.
