Holger Rune recently found his way out of the tournament in Madrid. After defeating Mariano Navone in an intense three-setter battle, the young Dane earned a position against Tallon Griekspoor in which he failed to show the dominance required and therefore had to go off in disappointment. However, besides the defeat, the fans focused on the moment when he was seen complaining about his coach Patrick Mouratoglou in frustration.

A glimpse of this surfaced on social media post-defeat and therefore, the fans came forward to express their thoughts on the incident.

Mouratoglou’s uneven chemistry with Holger Rune

This isn’t the first time when fans noticed an uneven state of the bond between Holger Rune and Patrick Mouratoglou. Back when the renowned coach announced that he was joining hands with the Danish star, he presented a long statement on social media to announce the collaboration.

Soon after the post started to garner attention on Instagram, a fan came forward to question Serena Williams‘ former coach with his doubts. “Talking bad on Netflix, saying he (patrick) is lazy and just sitting around and now workin together again – dont get that?” a fan commented, reminding Mouratoglou of the time when Rune insulted him.

Moving ahead of the incident, Mouratoglou managed to waive off the past statement, saying, “anyone can make a mistake. I forgive.” Although the query was answered with a calm response, it doesn’t seem like everything is cool enough between the two yet.
