Australian professional tennis player Nick Kyrgios got off to a great start at the Wimbledon Championships 2021. After defeating Ugo Humbert in a five-set marathon in the first round of the match, he is playing his second-round match against Gianluca Mager and is currently leading 1-0 after the end of the first set.

There came a point during the match when Kyrgios got really angry. COnsequently, he shouted that the organizers should make the court out of some real grass.

“Make it real grass!!! Jesus,” screamed a frustrated Kyrgios.

He lost his calm because of the surface, as according to him, the grass was popping out. He even yelled out saying he was feeling as if he was playing at the French Open.

“For those of you who don?t know on grass it?s supposed to slide away, now it just pops up on all of them. Feels like I?m playing at Roland Garros,” said Kyrgios to the crowd.

Not the first time Nick Kyrgios has criticized Wimbledon

It is not the first time that Kyrgios has gotten mad at the management of the Wimbledon Championships 2021. He slipped on the court during his first match against Humbert and seemed really angry. The match even got suspended on that day.

The situation got tensed when an injury on the court forced Serena Williams to withdraw from the tournament. As a result, Kyrgios came forward and stated that the whole Championships were a ‘joke’.

Right now, the Australian is leading in his match against Mager. Will he be able to advance to the third round of the Grand Slam after battling past the Italian player?
