Agassi spoke about his disappointment after missing the finals of the IPTL
After poor performances in his previous two matches at the tournament, the American did not find a place in the finals of the IPTL. The American sat on the sidelines while his teammates took to the court against UAE Royals. Later, the eight-time Grand Slam champion expressed his disappointment over missing the finals.
“Coming back here, I’m a bit embarrassed with the way I was not responding to the environment from a playing perspective. So I would have to make some adjustments and change how much I play so I can flat-out compete and make somebody else look sh**ty,” Agassi said.
Earlier, the American lost 6-3 to Mark Philippoussis and later 6-2 to Fabrice Santoro. This turned out to be the last IPTL match for Agassi.
