Recently, the World No.4 signed up for a brief interview with Red Bull for the ‘Mind Set Win‘ podcast. It was held for less than 20 minutes, but there was enough time for Tsitsipas to make some staggering revelations. Among all the questions and answers, a certain revelation from the Greek turned out to be a standout one as he spoke at lengths on meditation.
Tsitsipas said, “I do a lot of breathing before I perform. It helps me understand the way I exhale and inhale when I’m out on the court. Sometimes I hold my breath and that is something that I know other athletes and tennis players do. It makes you very tired and exhausted after a short period. And this is something that I’ve been really putting a lot of work to, because I feel like if you’re able to effortlessly do what you want to do out there, without thinking of breathing, then you can really achieve great things when that element is out of your consciousness then it happens automatically.”
