The 2014 US Open champion, Marin Cilic, and Slaven Hrvoj have decided to end their partnership after 11 years together. Slaven has also worked with other notable Croatian players Ivo Karlovic and Ana Konjuh over the years.

During their professional tenure, Cilic has grabbed many titles, with the US Open 2014 standing out. In the final, the Croatian beat the Japanese player Kei Nishikori in straight sets to lift his only Grand Slam title.

Marin Cilic took to Twitter to announce this unfortunate news. “After 11 years of incredible success, hard work, and dedication to improving every day, I am sad to say that Slaven Hrvoj and I have decided to end our professional collaboration,” he tweeted.

Moreover, Cilic is extremely thankful for the constant support and contribution from Hrvoj. He added, “It has been a privilege to share many moments with, not only a hard-working professional but also a great friend.” He even added that he will miss their gym sessions and bicep curls, perhaps a tongue-in-cheek comment, with a huge grinning emoji.
