Novak Djokovic has had a below-par year so far. The 35-year-old was in brilliant form last year, which saw him lifting three out of four Grand Slam titles. However, the Serb has been unsuccessful in translating the same this year. The trouble started for him at the beginning of this year when he could not take part in the Australian Open because of the compulsory vaccination requirement for the visa. For the same reason, he missed out on a major chunk of the US season as well.

According to an announcement from the Australian government, they will lift the covid border restriction from Wednesday. This means that vaccination will not be compulsory for anyone to travel to Australia. However, after last year’s controversy, Novak Djokovic received a three-year deportation order. If the Serb gets the deportation order lifted, we might see him play at the Australian Open, next year.
