Roger Federer is mostly known in the tennis world for being one of the best tennis players in history. However, the Swiss Maestro is so much more. While he attained fame due to his dominance on the ATP Tour, Federer capitalized on and launched several ventures. The Roger Federer Foundation is one venture through which the Swiss Maestro aims to help children born in underprivileged communities worldwide. At the moment, his foundation has been able to raise over $50 million. As he keeps taking on ventures to improve the world, Stefanos Tsitsipas believes that Federer could become a humanitarian, or a politician, much like Federer’s favorite rival, Marat Safin.

Impressed by the achievement, Tsitsipas believes that Federer has evolved a lot due to the sport. His humanitarian commitment and his behavior on and off the court have all inspired Tsitsipas. He also believes that the Swiss can now enter the field of politics, given his track record of helping change several thousands of lives.

Tsitsipas was quoted as saying, “Tennis has allowed Roger to be a humanitarian. It’s beautiful to see the work he does with his foundation. He has helped an entire continent with education. He could be a politician, if he wanted, anytime.

As per the Greek player’s analysis, Federer can tread a similar path of his favorite rival, the Russian legend Marat Safin. Safin retired at a younger age compared to the rest of the players of his generation and now works as an elected member of parliament in Russia, according to Lifestyle Asia.

Gone are the days when Safin would smash rackets on the court. Now he works to improve his country and has an image which Tsitsipas imagines for his idol. Federer has continued to expand his foundation. With the Swiss Maestro’s organization growing, it is only a matter of time before we start seeing the results at large.
