Former World No.1 Roger Federer has been a source of inspiration to many youngsters and other players like Matteo Berrettini and Dominic Thiem. The thing that separates him from the other tennis stars is that even athletes of the other sports regard him as one of the best athletes in the world.

Even though Roger Federer recently turned 40, fans believe that he still has got a lot of tennis left inside him. He will be back in action next year.

Matteo Berrettini draws a parallel between the legacy of Roger Federer and Ronaldinho

In a recent talk show with Argentine Football player, Paulo Dybala, Matteo Berrettini compared Roger Federer to Football legend, Ronaldinho. When Dybala came forward and revealed that the Brazilian great has been his idol, Berrettini claimed that Federer is just like Ronaldinho.

“Personally I never hid that I grew up idolizing Roger,” began Berrettini. “I like the way, the way he made everything look so easy almost like Ronaldinho, you know.” 

According to Berrettini, both Federer and Ronaldinho made everything look so easy in their respective sports. In a way, both of them are responsible for bringing a big revolution in sports.

Berrettini reveals what he likes the most about Federer

In the same talk show, Berrettini mentioned that Federer gives some really positive vibes to him. In addition, he believes that Federer is one of the most elegant players and does some quite extraordinary things on the court.

“Everything seemed easy to him. The way he was on the court, his elegance. The way he speaks, the vibe he gives,” added the Wimbledon Championships 2021 runner-up.
