Mercedes Dedicates an Exclusive Vehicle to 41-Year-Old Retired Tennis Great Roger Federer as They Solidify Their Long-Term Partnership

Roger Federer has influenced the lives of millions around the world, not only because of how he is as a player but also because of his off-court actions. Recently, he joined hands with his long-term endorsers, Mercedes, to contribute to the refurbishing of a tennis court in London.

This will help tennis enthusiasts of all ages to develop or improve their on-court skills.

Roger Federer joins hands with Mercedes for a worthy cause

Even when Federer was active on the court, he took considerable steps to make the lives of people better. After bidding farewell to the sport, he is making sure that he utilizes his post-retirement life in a meaningful manner. The Swiss Maestro collaborated with long-standing partners Mercedes to take part in a social initiative called, ‘The Neon Legacy’. The project will lead to the auction of an exclusive Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE. Mercedes painted it in a neon color, depicting the color of a tennis ball.

Apart from that, it will also have Roger Federer’s personal signet. Talking about the initiative, Federer said, “I am grateful for all the support during my 24 years of professional tennis and excited to be able to return this gratitude in the next chapters of my life.” Thanking Mercedes, he said, “I am honoured and proud to have a long-time partner in Mercedes-Benz, who shares these same values through their commitment to supporting the needs of our communities.”

The auction will take place on November 26, 2022. The money that will be obtained from it will be used for refurbishing a tennis court in London.

Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic gave in during Federer’s farewell

Federer got one of the most memorable farewells in recent memory at the Laver Cup in September. Playing his last match along with his arch-rival and great friend Rafael Nadal, he retired in glory despite losing his last professional match.
