Roger Federer was undoubtedly the earliest entrant into the GOAT debate. In a career spanning more than 2 decades, the Swiss Maestro has been either on the top or nearby in almost every record in tennis. His competitors Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic go neck to neck with him. However, the aura created by the 40-year-old remains unmatched.

Not being able to completely recover from the knee injury he suffered in 2020, Federer has been out of the tour since the 2021 Wimbledon. Getting his knee operated for the third time post his 2021 Wimbledon loss, tennis fans around the world are desperately waiting to see Maestro back on the court. However, not everyone has to be that patient to see the 20-time Grand Slam champion.

Meeting the Swiss legend, Marco did not waste a moment in getting a photo with the former World No. 1. What’s more? He further didn’t waste a moment in uploading the photo on his Instagram handle. He captioned the photo “Today was special – met the GOAT. Thank you, Roger.”

In the photo, Marco was spotted in an off-white sweatshirt, coupled with black shots. However, on the other hand, the Swiss maestro opted for a black full-sleeves T-shirt, coupled with white trousers. He completed his look with a metallic watch on his wrist. However, apart from all this, the limelight factor was the location of the two. The two were clicked standing at the net of a tennis court.

Even though the post looks like a normal photo with Roger Federer. However, if thinking the other way, Federer being clicked on a tennis court gives ample room for speculation amongst the tennis community.

Even though Federer was having a strong run at Wimbledon, his ship came to a halt in the quarterfinals, where he faced rising star Hubert Hurkacz. Struggling with his knee, Federer failed to perform at his optimum level, being outplayed by Hubert in straight sets. Suffering a quarterfinal loss at Wimbledon, Federer wasted no time in getting surgery on his knee. The Swiss Maestro has been out ever since.
