In the opening stages of the tournament, Alexander faced a tricky opponent in Borna Coric. The Croatian player recently made his comeback after being on the sidelines for a long period of time. 

It took the German three close sets to win the match. In the following matches, he sailed through without much difficulty. On the other hand, Ruud has won his matches with more ease. The Norwegian player won the three matches in straight sets to set up an intense clash against the Olympic Gold medalist.

Zverev vs Ruud: Head-to-Head and Prediction 

However, they have competed against each other on two occasions last season. Sadly for the Norwegians, both those matches were won by Zverev. Although, Ruud did give the German a fight the last time they faced each other.

The winner of this match will be facing the winner of the match between Italian sensation Jannik Sinner and Francisco Cerundolo. It will be interesting to see who wins and we wish all players the best of luck as we approach the business end.

Although the favorite for this match will be the second-seeded player. Nonetheless, one cannot rule out the possibility of Casper being able to overcome this hurdle ahead of him. We take a look at the matches ahead today.
