Italian tennis prodigy Jannik Sinner revealed his goals for the Paris Olympics after bagging his first win this season. Sinner defeated Grigor Dimitrov to receive his debut Miami Open trophy bringing himself to the second position in the ATP ranking. However, while winning Grand Slams or Masters 1000 titles, Sinner’s perspective on the Olympics has grasped a lot of attention.

Jannik Sinner’s admiration for the Olympics was revealed earlier after his victory in the AO 2024 against Daniil Medvedev. Now, the 22-year-old Italian is planning to “see what’s coming there” in the Olympics to boost his tennis career to a new level.

So let’s see what’s, what’s coming there, I mean, we as I said, I said in the beginning of the year, we tried to hunt and that what we can catch, we get and then there are some good weeks until now, they are only good weeks. And if not, you know, there are new opportunities. So it’s let’s see. I mean, I don’t want to rush myself,” he said.

However, Sinner’s previous interview after the Australian Open 2024 shows that it’s been a while since he has been eyeing the Olympics. During an interview after his winning at the Australian Open 2024, he opened up about his thoughts on the same. While asked whether he would be the flag-bearer for his country at the Olympic Games in Paris, he said, “I don’t think about being the flag bearer at the Olympics. The Games will be a key moment in my career, it will be the first time I will participate. There are all the best athletes in the world, who I can’t wait to meet and from whom I want to take inspiration.”

Sinner’s confidence is justified as he presented a beautiful performance at the finals of the Miami Open. Given that Dimitrov is a senior ATP Pro than Sinner in their professional careers, the Italian tennis star showed incredible aggression and much brilliance on the court.

Post victory, confident Sinner revealed his strategy against Dimitrov. He said– “I raised my level dramatically for semis and final, which I’ve shown on the court and obviously the result is amazing,”
