Additionally, the investment of over $500 million into the stadium by owner Stephen Ross facilitated the creation of an unparalleled environment, that takes the overall playing experience to a different level.
Events hosted by the Hard Rock Stadium
Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens has been home to the University of Miami Hurricanes Football since 2008. It opened in 1987 as Joe Robbie Stadium. It’s where Miami Hurricanes football, Miami Dolphins football, and the Orange Bowl happen each year. The stadium has also hosted six Super Bowls, two World Series, four BCS National Championship Games, two College Football Playoff Semifinals, the 2010 Pro Bowl, and the Miami Open since 2019.
The total capacity of the Hard Rock Stadium
When the Miami Dolphins’ home stadium was first built in 1987, it catered to a total capacity of 74,993 seats. But over the years, the authorities have worked efficiently to not only welcome a big crowd but also to enhance the experience of every fan. Currently, the Hard Rock Stadium has 65,326 permanent seats. This huge number makes it the 26th largest NFL stadium in the USA.

Looking at the capacity classification, the enormous stadium has two main sections: the upper ring with 34,736 seats, and the lower ring with 27,397 seats. Then there are 3,198 special seats in 193 executive suites for VIPs. along with 10,209 Business seats. The stadium specifically caters to people with disabilities as it holds 300 seats aside for them.
