Miami Open’s ‘Official Tequila’ Sponsor Gets Major Boost as Juan Martin Del Potro Joins the Brand on Their ‘Third Year’ Return

Even though Juan Martin del Potro has not played at the Miami Open due to his previous injuries, his presence remains constant. Along with other tennis and NBA stars like Lindsay Davenport and Jimmy Butler respectively, Juan Martin del Potro attended some of the best matches of both the WTA and ATP tours at the Miami Open especially of Carlos Alcaraz and Coco Gauff.

And now his name has come up again in the tournament as a special brand ambassador for the official Tequila brand. The brand has partnered with several other tennis players besides Martin including Santiago Gonzalez and Dana Mathewson.

The Instagram page of the tequila brand made a post announcing to the tennis community how they have extended their third year into the sport as the official tequila with the Miami Open. The makers also shared how the venue will have their official tequila drink, the Ace Paloma.

Besides furthering their commitment to the tour, the brand also announced its official partners, “Maestro Dobel Tequila has partnered with Tennis pros @delpotrojuan, @gonzalezsanty, & @dana.mathewson – celebrating the inaugural year of wheelchair tennis competition in Miami. Cheers!

Martin has worked with the brand previously at the US Open 2023 as well and promoted their brand rigorously in Cincinnati. In one of his previous interviews, he also talked about how this collaboration excites him.

Martin opens up about his experience working with Dobel Tequila

The Argentinian tennis player shared that it is an honor for him to be working with the brand. He added, “They are maestros of the tequila and I try to be a maestro on the tennis court, and we made a good connection. I like their support in tennis, support in the big events. I’m very proud to help them to grow in the sport as an ambassador. We are doing fantastic things together.”

Martin also stated that he loves to have this brand included in the sport because whenever a player wins a big trophy, they like to celebrate. And when the tequila brand is involved, the players have the right way to celebrate a good tournament.
