2020 has come up with yet another sad news for tennis fans. Just when things were looking good, it is now unlikely that the Rolex Paris Masters 2020 will take place. The event was supposed to take place from 31st October 2020 to 8th November 2020. Although the organizers ensured that not more than 1000 spectators would be allowed in the stadiums, it looks like even that will not be possible now.

France recently witnessed 36,000 fresh cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours. Many health experts believe it to be the second wave of the virus in the country. Considering all this, the President of France announced many measures which could lead to a possible cancellation of the tournament.

Although the people of France can leave home and go to work, there will be a ban on travel between different regions. Also, most international borders will be closed. There is, therefore, no specific prohibition on sporting events.

Apart from tennis, the decision will also impact other sports in France. The French Football league ‘Ligue 1’ has also not announced anything about the future of its matches-whether they will be played or suspended for the time. It’s really not good news but health is the ultimate wealth.
