Gael Monfils, the French tennis player, is all set to make a comeback on the court and do the thing he loves the most: play tennis. He has returned to play in the Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) in Los Angeles, much to the delight of his fans and supporters. Due to a wrist injury that he endured during the French Open 2023, he was on the sidelines. But now that he is better, he is ready to take on the sport again.
However, it was not all downside for Gael as he was out of the sport for a while. Owing to his positive attitude, Monfils shared how this injury actually worked out in his favor for a while.

Gael Monfils shares how his time at home allowed him to bond with his daughter, Skai
Monfils’ return to the court is a much-needed boost for the tennis fraternity, as he is one of the most talented players in the circuit. His presence in the UTS tournament is expected to raise the level of competition and make for an exciting tournament.
However, while he was at home, out of the court for a while, he got to spend quality time with his family and bond with his daughter, Skai. In a recent interview with Tennis Major, he spoke about the same. He said, “It has been an amazing month for me, watching my wife do fantastic, and I have had quality time with my daughter as well, so you know I’m just full of energy and really want to do well during this tour.”

Born only last October, the initial few months after your child is born are crucial for both parents. And being able to spend this important time with daughter Skai definitely gave him a boost of confidence and level-headedness that he needed after enduring an injury.

Monfils also talks about having a tough time away from his daughter
Now that Gael Monfils is supposed to be back on the court playing important tournaments, it is not going to be easy for him to stay from his daughter. Since he has been spending so much quality time with his wife Elina Svitolina and daughter Skai in the past couple of months that now staying away can be difficult for him.

In the same interview, he talked about how it is a privilege to spend time at home with your child. He also said that it can never be too much. And now that he has to go to play for a few weeks, it is going to be tough for him to be without his daughter Skai.
