Fans were highly disappointed when Casper Ruud left the court of Wimbledon in just the second round. After Casper Ruud’s recent performance in other tournaments, his fans had high expectations of him making it further in Wimbledon. However, fate had other plans.
After a tough loss to Liam Broady in the second round, Norwegian tennis player Casper Ruud took the setback in stride. As he faced the media in his post-match interview, he was asked about his plans for the following day. His tour ended abruptly and unfortunately, Ruud had to take an early exit from Wimbledon. But to everyone’s surprise, he was able to find a silver lining and a reason that would allow him to stay for longer at Wimbledon.

While the loss to Broady was undoubtedly disappointing, Ruud’s focus was already shifting to his upcoming doubles match. The prospect of staying in the city and attending The Weeknd’s concert provided him with extra motivation.
After his match, he was asked about his plans for the next day and if he would be interested in going to The Weeknd concert. To which he responded, “It’s tomorrow, so maybe. I think I have doubles tomorrow. So actually I have a good excuse to stay. I think I might try to catch the show, yes.”

Even though his Wimbledon championship journey might have ended with losing the second round against Liam Broady, Casper has another excuse to continue to stay in London and that is the Weeknd.

The Roland Garros runner-up has previously also attended his favorite artist’s show and spent a good time while they were touring in Scandinavia. By the looks of it, it is easy to estimate Casper Ruud as a fan of popular culture as this will be the second time he will be attending their concert.

When the Weeknd was performing one of their concerts in Stockholm in Sweden, Ruud made sure to be there in person to dance to the tunes of his favorite artist. Not just that, he also shared his experience with his fans on social media by posting multiple stories and videos while he enjoyed his time at the concert.
