The same might be true for the controversial tennis star, Nick Kyrgios, who recently came to the defense of a fellow ATP player criticized for his off-court activities.

It all happened after the former Italian tennis player, Nicola Pietrangeli’s criticism of his compatriot, Matteo Berrettini, came to light. Pietrangeli lambasted him by saying that he was more interested in his endorsement deals.

It all started when the renowned journalist, Jose Morgado, shared the disparaging remarks from the former Italian tennis player. Pietrangeli said that his compatriot might be good looking, but his legs don’t move the way they should on the tennis court. He further slammed Berrettini by saying that he was too focused on his commercial deals with renowned brands. While talking about all this, Pietrangeli also mentioned the name of another Italian tennis player, Jannik Sinner.

Comparing him with Berrettini, he said Jannik is the best player in their country. After taking note of all that criticism towards his colleague, Kyrgios fired back at the 2 singles Grand Slam champion. He stated, “But isn’t it his choice to prioritise? I can assure you this, he is making more bank than sinner off the court 🤦🏽♂️ and for some of us, money is important”

Kyrgios slammed his critics who accused him of playing for money
The bad boy of tennis once again showed his no-filter attitude when he was criticized by a journalist who accused him of playing in Saudi Arabia for money. Kyrgios, with one of his blunt responses, fired back at him on social media. The controversial star initially retorted by saying that Saudi is a beautiful place and he shouldn’t be having any problem playing there.
Later, another blunt remark followed. Kyrgios said that he might be “b**t hurt” after seeing him getting paid well for doing what he loves.
