Along with the question that stunned her for a moment, Bublik made his intentions clear by handing his racket to the lucky ball kid. Despite initial hesitation, the young girl eventually agreed, and Bublik swapped places with her, adorably taking up her position as a ball boy.
The girl walked onto the court and finally gained some confidence as she hit one ball on the sideline and took a stance to serve against the Croatian. Despite the fact that she missed both serves, Bublik boosted her morale by appreciating her, with the crowd cheering for her as well. Although Bublik ultimately faced defeat in the match with a score of 6-1, 6-1, his act of kindness earned him admiration and applause as he exited the tournament.
Extending a helping hand to the ball kids is nothing new in tennis but Bublik’s gesture was different. A few weeks ago, Jannik Sinner also helped out a ball girl amid heavy rainy weather.
