As soon as the match started, Ruud managed to grab the first set (6-4), building initial pressure on Djokovic. Although the Serb made the situation even worse by grabbing the second set (6-1), his first serve percentage came out to be horrible, as he was able to get only 5 out of 21 right. Novak Djokovic indulges in a beef with the Italian crowd

This wasn’t the only match when Novak Djokovic unleashed his rage at the ongoing Monte Carlo Masters. Back when the tennis star appeared for his first showdown against Lorenzo Musetti, he raised his hand to perform gestures towards the crowd.

While the Italian audience is already known to lack respect for the Serb, they started booing at him, reminding the world of a similar event that happened during his showdown against Jannik Sinner in Turin last year.

However, Djokovic didn’t really lose his cool during the match but simply ordered the crowd to be quiet by performing another gesture. While he was able to make noise with his racket by winning that match, he couldn’t manage to do it this time, ending up leaving the court with immense disappointment. As the clay court season has many more events waiting, it still remains to be seen if he manages to perform better in the rest of them.
