The season seems to only get worse and worse for Rafael Nadal. After announcing late last year that 2024 could be his last year on the professional circuit, both fans and him were hopeful of ending the year on a high. If not for the couple of wins that he had at the Brisbane Open earlier this year, the fans have not seen much action from the Spaniard star.

Also, with the start of the clay season now, everyone was hoping for a triumphant comeback from the star who made his name on these red courts. But, as it seems, the wait will have to go on for now. In a recent revelation, the Spaniard maestro revealed that he would not be able to take part in the upcoming Monte-Carlo Masters. Soon after the news went viral the fans went in straight away and slammed the star.

In a recent war of words, fans from all around the world took their moment and slammed the Spanish star. One fan went ahead and suggested that the best thing he could do was retire once the Olympic games were over. “At this point the best thing you can do is retire after the Olympic Games,” said the fan after witnessing the news.

Just like the rest of them, this fan also did not hold his word and asked him to retire. “Retire please,” said the fan who could not bear the shocking news.

Another fan came up with the same message and it seemed like the fans were clearly frustrated from him. “Ugh just retire already. We are all sick and tired of your injury song and dance,” said the fan who suggested that he was already sick and tired from his retirement news.

While everybody asked him to retire, this fan came out of the rest and consoled Rafa with words of positivity. “A hug Rafa. If you still want to play, do it because you want to and you can. You have given us everything to tennis and sports fans. If you feel like playing, go ahead. But don’t do it for us fans. You’d also make us happy if you stopped competing and kept making babies,” said the fan who said that the Spanish star has already given so much to the sport and eventually made it his decision to make.
