In the previous season, when he failed to overcome Carlos Alcaraz on various occasions, Grigor Dimitrov revealed that he had learned a lot about the Spaniard’s game. As he also saw some cracks in his game, the Bulgarian tennis star asserted that he could potentially ‘rattle’ Alcaraz more on the court. A few months after issuing those bold assertions, Dimitrov has now proved himself with his back-to-back wins over the 2-time singles Grand Slam champion.

He said, “I see some cracks in the game that potentially you can work into, opportunities that you can explore.” Dimitrov also stated, “I’m not saying I’m gonna beat him the next match I play. However, I feel like there’s things that I’ve learned and could potentially rattle him more and you never know.”

He said, “So that’s why I think this and I would love to keep on playing honestly against him. And also I learned a lot about my game.” This season, Dimitrov has now proven himself, as he now has two brilliant victories in his bag against Alcaraz.
