Rafael Nadal’s absence has been Novak Djokovic’s gain. Earlier this year, the latter surpassed Nadal for the most Grand Slam titles won in men’s singles. As a result, Nadal not only needs to return, but he also needs to outperform the Djoker to reinstate his dominance. However, what does Nadal think about this?

Rafael Nadal wants to surpass Novak Djokovic

While Djokovic has won 24 Grand Slam titles, Nadal trails him with 22 majors. As a result, the Spaniard has an appetite to overcome Djokovic’s record.

Speaking about this, Nadal said, “I won’t win more Majors than Djokovic, but I will be back to compete. I hope to tell you more in the coming weeks. Until now, I didn’t know if I would ever play tennis again, and now I sincerely believe that I will play tennis again.”

While Nadal is sure to come back next year, he has kept his fans in suspense regarding when he will make a return. Nonetheless, it will be exciting to see how he performs on his return to the court.
